MIDLAND, Mich. A variety of university-level courses and graduate faculty from the popular University of the Aftermarket/CARQUEST School of Business will be featured among the management education offerings at CARQUEST’s 2010 Professional Automotive Service Expo, taking place Feb. 21-24 in Las Vegas.
Faculty members from Northwood University’s DeVos Graduate School of Management will present three education sessions adapted from the CARQUEST School of Business curriculum: Creating a Strategic Vision; Developing a Process for Profit; and Leadership for Managers. Each session is appropriate for any independent automotive repair business owner or manager who wants to enhance business performance.
Developed in partnership with the University of the Aftermarket, the CARQUEST School of Business is a business management experience focusing on relevant, timely strategies for increasing sales, operational efficiency and profitability. The program is based at the Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies on Northwood University’s campus in Midland, Mich.
“The CARQUEST School of Business has been extraordinarily successful, with significant demand for positions in each of our classes and rave reviews from our graduates,” said University of the Aftermarket Director Brian Cruickshank, AAP. “Our ability to blend true graduate-level instruction with targeted topics and discussions relevant to store and shop professionals is unique to the University of the Aftermarket. We will continue to expand access to these types of programs throughout 2010 and beyond.”
Topics covered in the full CARQUEST School of Business include process development, strategy and vision, financial management, leadership styles and customer retention. In addition to MBA instructors from Northwood University, sessions are co-facilitated by CARQUEST’s team of experts in aftermarket operations.
