LOS ANGELES -- Motorcar Parts of America (MPA) has announced a strategic initiative to expand its presence within the heavy-duty alternator and starter market with the release of its new Xtreme heavy-duty catalog for off-highway applications, covering agricultural, forestry, forklifts, industrial, marine and mining requirements.
The 1,218-page catalog features nearly 2,500 starters and alternators, with more than 15,025 interchanges and a 171-page buyer’s guide with images and attributes to aid in identifying parts. The product line includes more than 2,300 remanufactured parts and nearly 200 new parts.
Manufactured using upgraded components for better performance and greater durability, Xtreme heavy-duty units are built to meet or exceed OEM specifications and are backed by one-year warranty coverage. All Xtreme starters and alternators are T3+ tested in MPA’s ISO/TS 16949 certified facilities. The company’s T3+ testing is a four-part methodology to ensure total quality and includes initial sample approval testing of all components, with testing of all critical sub-assemblies and end-of-line testing of completed units. Random unit audit testing is also conducted to validate the quality of the entire inventory.
Separately, MPA has announced that Selwyn Joffe, the company's chairman, president and chief executive officer, will preside over the NASDAQ Closing Bell ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 2, between 3:45 p.m. and 4 p.m. Eastern time.
The ceremony will be held in the broadcast studio of the NASDAQ MarketSite located at 4 Times Square in New York City.
"The closing bell ceremony is an opportunity to showcase our company and its leadership position within the automotive components industry. We are honored to participate and look forward to the event next week," Joffe said.
