SAN ANTONIO, Texas Dale Hopkins, vice president information technology for Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance (Alliance), has announced the promotion of Jerry Carnline to the newly created position of data services director.
In his new position, Carnline, an employee of the Alliance since 2003, will develop and manage information technology data projects and function as the resident expert for all data-related matters. The data team’s objective is to give Alliance Shareholders the best in class data and data-related search and access tools in the industry (e.g., Business Intelligence reporting, Inventory-Product Mix evaluation tools, eCatalog data, etc.).
Additionally, Carnline will oversee the Vendor Catalog Data team (application and non-application), which maximizes the content and availability of the data Alliance shareholders need to find. With the Alliance Data Warehouse, he will be responsible for coordinating the content as well as growing the tool’s value. Carnline’s final main priority will be the Alliance Inventory Optimization Tool, where he will collect feedback to develop enhancements.
