MACS 2010 Board of Directors, Officers Installed at 30th Anniversary Convention

LANSDALE, Pa. -- The board of directors of the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide has elected the following officers for the 2010 board term:

  • Chairman-Andy Fiffick of Rad-Air Complete Car Care, Cleveland, Ohio;
  • Past Chairman-Michael Deese of Santech Industries, Dallas, Texas;
  • Vice Chairman-Gus Swensen of Cool Car Auto Air, Columbus, Ga.;
  • Treasurer- Peter Coll of Neutronics, Exton, Pa.; and                                                                      
  • Secretary-David Jack of DENSO Sales, Long Beach, Calif.
The MACS board of directors has 13 members -- four from the service and repair, distribution and manufacturing divisions plus the past chairman. Six members are elected annually to two-year terms. Elected to a two-year term from the service membership for 2010 Jim Atkinson of Car Repair Company, Phoenix, Ariz., and Andy Fiffick of Rad-Air, Cleveland, Ohio, were re-elected.
 
In the distributor member section, Randy Rankin of RANSHU, Reno, Nev., was re-elected and Mark Schmitz of Global Parts Distributors, Macon, Ga., will join the board as a new director. David Jack of DENSO Sales California, Long Beach, Calif., was re-elected from the Manufacturer section and newly elected was Mary Koban of DuPont, Wilmington, Del.
 
MACS President Honored for 30 Years of Service

In recognition for 30 years of dedicated service, MACS president and chief operating officer, Elvis Hoffpauir was honored by MACS Chairman and chief executive officer Andy Fiffick during MACS Keynote Luncheon Jan. 20 in Las Vegas. Calling all past and present MACS board members to the stage, Fiffick thanked Hoffpauir for his past and continuing contributions to the welfare, success and sound fiscal management of the society.
