TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. – Clutch set supplier Perfection has established Perfection de Mexico through a joint venture partnership agreement with LODI Automotive Industries, a family owned business in Monterrey, Mexico. LODI was founded in 1969 and is well-known in Mexico for its quality manufacturing of parts for engines and transmissions for the Mexican domestic and export aftermarket.

The two companies have been working together for the past 18 months to build the infrastructure needed to launch the business. It has been a perfect fit for both companies, said Perfection.

The LODI brand is well-known and sold throughout Mexico and abroad and now the LODI clutch brand will be co-branded with the Perfection clutch brand.

“We are excited about our permanent presence in this fast-growing clutch market,” said Jim Ott, president of Perfection. “We are entering this market with a complete package. We have an experienced and talented sales team deployed throughout the country. Our efficient warehouse and distribution center is complete with a world-class product development and testing lab and is up and running in Monterrey. The management team has great experience in the Mexican market and they are motivated to put the customers first.”

Perfection, a Marmon Highway Technologies/Berkshire Hathaway company, has been serving the driveline industry since 1918. Headquartered in Timmonsville, S.C., the company is a leading supplier of new clutch sets, new flywheels, cutch hydraulics and ZOOM Performance Products to the North American Automotive Aftermarket.
