DETROIT — A filing from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has indicated that Chrysler will recall 24,177 vehicles due to a possible defective part that could cause brake failure.

The recall includes 16,872 Dodge Ram pickup trucks, model years 2009-2010; as well as some 2010 model-year Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Avenger and Nitro, and Jeep Liberty, Commander and Grand Cherokee vehicles.
