AKRON, OHIO – BodyShop Business Publisher Scott Shriber has been named publisher of Counterman magazine, a Babcox publication serving the automotive parts distribution market, and sister publication to aftermarketNews. He also has been given additional responsibilities as publisher of aftermarketNews.

Shriber joined Babcox in August 2008 as publisher of BodyShop Business magazine. He will continue in this role, in addition to his new responsibilities with Counterman and aftermarketNews.

Prior to joining Babcox, Shriber was national sales manager for OEConnection, a provider of online buying, selling and analysis of original equipment parts. Before that, he spent 28 years with Ford Motor Co. in a number of positions of increasing responsibility. Much of Shriber’s time at Ford centered around the Motorcraft brand, where he started out in field sales and eventually moved on to such positions as technical service manager, independent channel manager and parts and service marketing manager. His Ford career culminated with his most recent position of marketing communications manager for Blue Diamond Parts LLC, a joint venture between Ford and International Truck and Engine Co.
