Former Top Fuel Driver Darrell Gwynn to Headline National Performance Open House Expo

MIAMI, Fla. – Former Drag Racing World Champion Darrell Gwynn will headline the National Performance Warehouse (NPW) FAST Expo this Sunday Jan. 10 at the Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He will have on display the exact replica of the car he drove prior to his accident in 1990 that ended his career. This weekend will be the only display of the car in South Florida, immediately following the event, the dragster will leave South Florida and be on the way to be auctioned off in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Saturday, Jan. 23 at Barrett Jackson.

“My family and I have enjoyed a great relationship with National Performance over the years and participating with their Open House Events” said Darrell Gywnn, president of Darrell Gywnn Foundation. “We especially look forward to this year as it is the 20th anniversary since my last win as a driver at the 1990 Gatornationals.”

Also attending again this year are the Miami Heat Dancers. The show also features more than 100 vendor exhibits, show cars, door prizes and a car show.

More than 3,300 jobbers and installers have already pre-registered for the event. Pre-registered cars for the car show exceed 200.
