MIDLAND, Mich. Northwood University’s pioneering Aftermarket Executive MBA degree program is entering the final weeks of the application/registration period for the 2010 class. Qualified automotive and commercial vehicle aftermarket professionals who are interested in earning their MBA degree are encouraged to contact Northwood’s Graduate Admissions team before Dec. 18.
The world’s only MBA degree tailored specifically to the interests and demands of aftermarket professionals, the Aftermarket Executive MBA program features a highly manageable 30-month schedule blending brief on-campus sessions combined with directed, Web-based instruction to accommodate the needs of today’s career-minded professionals. The incoming class will begin study online Jan. 11, 2010, and the first of five on-campus sessions will begin Feb. 15, 2010, on the Northwood University campus in Midland, Mich.
Led by faculty of the University’s acclaimed DeVos Graduate School of Management, the curriculum includes a required “capstone” project that must demonstrate a minimum business EBIT benefit of $75,000 to the student’s employer. In reality, however, similar student projects completed through the DeVos School have resulted in an average of more than $450,000 in cost savings or revenue increases to participants’ organizations.
“The Northwood Aftermarket MBA isn’t simply an investment in the student’s career, but also in his or her employer’s business. And by any measure, it’s a smart investment, with more than a tenfold payback of the program cost in many cases,” said Dr. Tim Nash, vice president, strategic and corporate alliances, Northwood University.
