CHANTILLY, Va. – Joe Kripli was installed as the secretary of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) during the International BIG R Show, held Nov. 1 in Las Vegas.

Kripli has 30 years of experience in remanufacturing, and is currently the CEO of the Remaco Group as well as co-owner of MD Rebuilt Parts Detzen GmbH. Highlights from his career include formerly serving as president of Flight Systems Electronics Group, advance planning manager at TRW Automotive and North American Remanufacturing manager at LucasVarity.

In addition to these achievements, he was one of the co-authors of Fernand Weiland’s book “Remanufacturing of Mechatronics & Electronics” and he wrote the SAE paper 2008-21-0029 titled “Remanufacturing: The Sustainable Service Solution for Past Model Automotive Electronics Support.”

Kripli will become chairman of APRA in 2014.
