Jay Robie Becomes APRA Core Supplier Chairman

CHANTILLY, Va. -- Jay Robie of Phoenix Automotive Cores in Phoenix, Ariz., was recently named the new chairman of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association’s (APRA) Core Suppliers Advisory Council at its November meeting in Las Vegas.

Robie replaces Tom Jackson of Rebuilders Automotive Supply in Coventry, R.I., who served with distinction for a number of years.

Robie has been involved in various facets of the recycling industry since 1993. In 1998, his company started recycling electronic materials and scrap metal, including catalytic converters. In 2004, Phoenix Automotive Cores was established to provide quality rebuildable parts to the remanufacturing industry and quickly became known for its use of technology and innovation to positively impact the remanufacturing industry.

In 2009, Phoenix Automotive Cores and the CMS/Morrell group of companies received the Arizona Corporate Excellence award and were selected as the fourth fastest-growing company in the state of Arizona. Robie serves as CEO and oversees the general business strategy and marketing of its entities including business development.
