KARIYA, Japan ― In an effort to improve efficiency and customer service, DENSO Corp. is combining its primary business functions in Australia, such as production at Australian Automotive Air Pty. Ltd. (AAA) and, sales, service and logistics functions at DENSO International Australia Pty. Ltd. (DIAU). These functions will be integrated into AAA, though DIAU will continue to be a holding company.

At the same time, AAA will also change its name to DENSO Automotive Systems Australia Pty. Ltd. (DNAU). All changes will take effect April 1, 2010.

“This integration will allow employees from both companies to work more closely, which will help improve customer service and establish a more efficient management system,” said Kazuo Hironaka, senior managing director overseeing DENSO’s Sales Group. “We aim to strengthen business operations to increase our competitiveness in Australia.”

DENSO Automotive Systems Australia Pty. Ltd. (DNAU) is located in Croydon, Victoria, Australia, on the outskirts of Melbourne. The company produces car air conditioning systems, radiators, instrument clusters, and other products for OE and OES supply, and aftermarket sales of a wide range of locally produced and imported automotive and non-automotive products. DNAU was established in August 1989 and has sales of approximately $275 million, projected for fiscal year ending March 2011. The company employs approximately 420 people under the leadership of company president Russell Pettis.
