TROY, MICH. Bendix is enhancing its line of friction products with increased content, improved packaging and easier to read labels.
All Bendix premium disc pads now feature 100 percent attached shims as well as hardware and abutment clips in the box. In addition, wire wear sensors will be provided for the applications that require them. All Bendix brake pads will be shrink-wrapped for better protection during shipping and all boxes have been upgraded to a new, more robust design.
Labels on the box will be easier to read and will outline what content is included. The size of the part numbers listed will appear in a larger font for better reading in low-light conditions and will also run bi-directionally so that regardless of which way they are stored, it’s easy for distributors and technicians to identify the part number. New packaging graphics include trilingual warnings and product descriptions.
“By making some very notable upgrades on critical characteristics, it will be easier than ever for aftermarket distributors and independent repair shops to choose the Bendix brand as their brake supplier of choice,” said Jim Kelley, director of sales, North America for Friction Materials LLC. “All of these efforts are centered on the strategy of improving bay efficiency and ease of installation for technicians. The Bendix product offering clearly supports the professionally installed market segment.”
