The Pulse: Average Number of Repair Orders, Week by Week
October 9, 2009By aftermarketNews staff

In this installment of "The Pulse," we take a closer look at the state of business today at the repair shop level. In this series we will review rolling month-by-month data for the average number of weekly repair orders (ROs) written at general repair shops each month. Utilizing data from IMR Inc., this week we look at the numbers for August 2008 through August 2009.
After the significant increase in repair orders reported in July, the numbers took a precipitous drop in August, falling from an average of 63.8 repair orders per week in July to an average of 52 repair orders per week in August.

Year over year, the average number of repair orders for the month of August has also dropped significantly – from 66.8 in August 2008 to 52 in August 2009.
