LOS ANGELES – Motorcar Parts of America (MPA) has expanded its coverage by adding 100 percent brand-new, high-output Ford 2G, 3G and 6G alternators, available through its of Quality-Built (QB) Supreme line of parts.

The 100 percent brand-new Ford 2G alternators are designed to address Ford 2G IAR alternator system problems. The products solve overheating and charging failure issues with a dual internal fan, upgraded frame design, an improved rotor and stator and a newly designed rectifier. The unit includes a heavy duty harness and 6mm output battery post instead of the problematic factory harness/BBS plug, and a larger “303” front bearing for longer bearing and belt life.

Quality-Built also now offers 100 percent brand-new 3G and 6G alternators designed to handle the heat with greater output at idle and top end. Originally designed to address Ford Crown Victoria police car demands, these QB alternators have upgraded diodes, heat-sink windings and regulators. These units produce 200 amps at the top end and 100 amps at idle, making them ideal for extreme applications.

Quality-Built has released product flyers with unit specifications and coverage details for these specialty units. The flyers, included in the newly released Quality-Built catalog, are available by calling 800-890-9988 and visiting www.Quality-Built.com for a full online e-catalog.
