NORTHVILLE, Mich. A bankruptcy court judge approved the bidding and auction procedures for Hayes Lemmerz International's sale of its Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, powertrain operations.
The reorganization plan is scheduled for an Oct. 15 confirmation hearing, with the auction scheduled for Oct. 21.
The company recently announced it had realigned its global operational sites into three regions: Turkey, Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific (EAAP) and "The Americas."
Fred Bentley, president and CEO, said the purpose of the realignment is to become more strategically focused in the operation of the business by aligning the organization into specific regions.
The company filed reorganization plans in U.S. Bankruptcy court in July.
