See Your Company's Products on Display in the AAPEX New Product Showcase

Apply today to see your company’s new product on display in the New Product Showcase in the Upper Lobby of the Sands Expo & Convention Center for all buyers to see. Each product in the showcase will be identified by a sign including company name, new product title and your AAPEX booth number.

What's Included:
·    Display in the AAPEX New Product Showcase in the Upper Lobby of the Sands Expo & Convention Center.
·    Inclusion in the Online New Product Showcase / Search @ the AAPEX website.  This search engine will allow exhibitors and attendees to search all new products by name and category. New product information is also accessible through your company profile at the AAPEX website.
·    Inclusion in AAPEX Product Extra.
·    Review by a panel of expert judges. Winners will be announced at the start of the show.

How to Enter the New Product Showcase:
Step 1 - Download the 2009 entry form. Click here. Print, complete and fax to: 708-226-1310

Step 2 - Once entry form and payment are received, a confirmation email including new product entry instructions and shipping labels will be mailed to your company.  The participating exhibitor is required to submit the following information at the AAPEX website to complete their new product entry: New Product Title, Description/Details (maximum 255 words), Category and Image (not required).  Information not submitted on the website will not be printed on signage.

Step 3 - Your product MUST to be shipped to the Freeman warehouse in advance of the AAPEX Show.  All products using the Shipping Labels mailed to your company will be accepted at the Freeman warehouse. Hand-delivered products WILL NOT be accepted.

A company can submit unlimited entries, however, space in the showcase is limited. You are limited to one entry per entry fee.

Important Deadlines:

Entry Fees: After August 14, 2009-- $450 per entry

Rules:
·    No families or lines of products will be displayed as one entry. One product per entry fee.
·    No products exceeding the following dimensions will be accepted: 24" height, 24" width and/or 18" depth.
·    Products cannot weigh more than 75 pounds.
·    If your product exceeds these dimensions, please ship a picture/sign of the product 8 1/2" x 11" to be displayed in lieu of the product.
·    Only new products introduced after AAPEX 2008 qualify for the New Product Showcase.

Categories:
Products are displayed and judged in eight unique categories that reflect the overall AAPEX theme, “We Keep Them on the Road.”

Choose one category from those below that best describes your New Product Showcase entry:

Safe & Sound
- Products that  will increase the safety and/or security of a vehicle’s driver, passengers, other vehicles on the road or pedestrians, such as brakes, security systems, anti-rollover/crash technologies, lights and seats.

Good Sense - Products that will help consumers save money, such as products that help increase fuel economy, make a vehicle run leaner on fuel or lighten the vehicle for improved fuel efficiency. Earth-friendly products that help protect the environment in terms of emissions, recyclability, waste/scrappage or material usage, such as catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters and advances in recyclable materials.

Smooth Sailing - Products that improve the driving performance of the vehicle, such as ride control, better stopping brakes and products to help gain horsepower.

Individuality -  Products that enhance the appearance of a vehicle or the appearance of specific components on a vehicle, such as chemicals, paints, decals, waxes and lights.

Cool Cars - Products that are fun to use, enhance the driving experience or are unique in their own way, such as entertainment products, audio, comfort, convenience and lights.

Making it Better - Products that are an improved version of a previous product. The improvement can include any of a number of characteristics including weight, durability, fit and finish, solving a problem, such as an alternator that produces increased voltage, or spark plugs or filters that last longer.

Work Smart - Products that improve labor productivity or shop efficiency, or products that are easy to install by a professional service technician or do-it-yourselfer such as fluid extractors, shop management software, online solutions, e-cataloging, new training materials and service guides.

Fixing it Right  - Products that improve the diagnosis or repair process for a professional technician or for a do-it-yourselfer, such as a new diagnostic tool, lifts, compressors and hand tools with increased functionality.

Must be an AAPEX 2009 Exhibitor in good standing to participate in New Product Showcase.
