Participants in the AASA Executive Breakfast Tuesday, Nov. 3 can earn CEU credits through the University of the Aftermarket.

“We are pleased to partner with the University of the Aftermarket to offer these credits for our AAPEX Executive Breakfast, which attendees can apply toward their automotive aftermarket professional (AAP) or master automotive aftermarket professional (MAAP) standing,” said Steve Handschuh, president and COO of AASA.

Attendees can earn 0.2 University of the Aftermarket CEUs at the annual AASA Executive Breakfast, scheduled for 7-8:45 a.m. on Nov. 3 in Ballrooms G-I, The Venetian, just prior to the opening of AAPEX 2009.

This year’s AASA Executive Breakfast features Richard Roy, president and CEO of Uni-Select Inc., one of North America’s leading automotive and related product distribution organizations, as keynote speaker. Roy has occupied the position of president and CEO of Uni-Select Inc. since Jan. 1, 2008. Prior to his nomination, Roy had served as vice president and COO since April 1, 2007. For the past nine years, he held the position of vice president administration and CFO of Uni-Select.

Roy has 29 years of experience in the field of accounting and finance. He began his career with Ernst & Whinney, a public accounting firm. After leaving the public accounting sector, Roy joined Westburne Inc., a publicly traded wholesale distributor of plumbing, electrical and HVAC supplies. During his 12 year career with Westburne, Roy served in several financial management functions, including the positions of controller and treasurer. Subsequently, he joined Bell Canada International where he served as vice president and controller before joining IBEX Technologies Inc. as vice president and CFO

Handschuh will open the meeting by addressing the state of the aftermarket industry and AASA initiatives. Following Roy’s keynote presentation, he will answer questions from the audience.
