ETTERS, Pa. -- Joe Kripli, formerly president of Flight Systems Electronics Group, and Michael Dojcinovski, formerly CFO of Cignet LLC, have left their respective positions to form the company Remaco Group LLC.
Remaco Group will focus on the global remanufacturing industry. The company’s first venture into this market is the purchase of a minority stake in MD Rebuilt Parts Detzen GmbH, based in Illingen, Germany. Martin Detzen, founder of MD Rebuilt will remain with the company as the majority stakeholder with Remaco Group, having options to acquire additional shares over time.
MD Rebuilt is a well established quality remanufacturer of starters, alternators, CV axles and air conditioning compressors. The company will now expand into the electronics and mechatronics remanufacturing market where automotive applications are fitted with an average of 20 electronic control modules per vehicle. That average is increasing dramatically as the industry moves into hybrid applications.
With plants in Illingen, Germany and Hernad, Hungary, MD Rebuilt is well-situated to offer exceptional engineering and quality as well as low-cost production. By creating this team of Detzen, Joe Kripli and Dojcinovski, MD Rebuilt is poised for exceptional growth with more than 68 years of remanufacturing experience at its helm, the group said.
In conjunction with this announcement, the company has appointed Alain Leroy as account manager at MD Rebuilt. Leroy is very well known in the European aftermarket industry from his previous positions at Remy. His exceptional knowledge of the remanufacturing markets and customers will be a true asset to the organization. Kripli will also continue his role with the Automotive Parts Remanufacturing Association as the co-chairman of the Electronics & Mechatronics Division along with fellow co-chairman Fernand Weiland.
