NEW YORK -- General Motors' bankruptcy filing has reportedly caused a shake-up in the stock market this week. Dow Jones Indexes today announced that General Motors Corp. will be removed from the Dow Jones Automobiles & Parts Titans 30 Index due to the filing.
General Motors Corp. will be replaced by Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd in the Dow Jones Automobiles & Parts Titans 30 Index.
The changes will be effective before the open of trading on Thursday, June 4.
