GPC's Larry Samuelson to Retire May 1

Samuelson spent 34 years with GPC.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle has reported that Larry Samuelson, president of Genuine Parts Co.’s (GPC) U.S. Automotive Parts Group, will retire on May 1. Tom Gallagher will take on Samuelson’s role, in addition to his responsibilities as chairman, president and CEO of the Atlanta-based business.


Samuelson was named president of GPC’s U.S. Automotive Parts Group in 2004, succeeding Bob McKenna, who is now president and CEO of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association.

Prior to his most recent appointment, Samuelson was president and CEO of NAPA Canada/UAP Inc. He spent 34 years with GPC.
