NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Hovis Auto and Truck Supply has expanded with the addition of a 133,000-square-foot warehouse in Grove City, Pa. The new warehouse will be used to supply Hovis’s 12 other western Pennsylvania locations as well as any new stores.

“My brother Curt and I have talked about expanding our business for a while and when this facility became available, we thought it would be perfect for our needs,” said Cliff Hovis, president of Hovis Auto and Truck Supply. “We had outgrown our two other warehouses and the size of this facility, coupled with its great location, will be a great asset as we continue to serve our current customers as well as looking to expand further into the greater Pittsburgh area.”

The new Hovis warehouse was formerly a three-building sports complex that housed five basketball courts, a deck hockey rink and an indoor soccer field. Building one is 78,000-square-feet while building two is 22,000-square-feet and building three is 33,000-square-feet. Renovations are expected to start soon and the warehouse is projected to be operational by March of 2009. Located at the intersection of Interstate 79 and Interstate 80, the new warehouse is ideally situated to serve the 12 Hovis locations as well as all of Hovis’s customers, the company said.

“We want to congratulate the Hovis brothers on the acquisition of their new warehouse,” said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts. “Cliff and Curt are two of our most valued Federated members and we look forward to working with them to help grow their business.”

Cliff Hovis was honored earlier this year by Federated when he was named the 2007 Co-Man Member of the Year. The Co-Man Member of the Year Award is presented annually to the participating Federated member that has shown outstanding dedication and support to the Federated co-man operation and programs.
