NORTHVILLE, MI -- Hayes Lemmerz International has named Patrick Cauley to the position of vice president, general counsel and secretary. Cauley, who was serving as the company's interim general counsel, will continue to report to Curtis Clawson, chairman and CEO.

Cauley joined Hayes Lemmerz as assistant general counsel in 1999. Prior to this appointment, he served as a partner at the Detroit-based law firm of Bodman, Longley & Dahling LLP where he engaged in all aspects of corporate practice, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending and financing, tax and real estate transactions.
