May 7, 2004

WAYNE, NJ -- Hankook Tire America Corp. has announced plans to raise prices on its full line of passenger, high performance, light truck and medium truck tires by 3 percent, effective July 1.

The increase in prices reflects rising costs in raw materials, shipping and general operations, the tiremaker stated in a release.

Hankook continues to control its costs and expand capacities, commented Bill Bainbridge, marketing director at Hankook.
