Robert Bosch Corp. has received the 2004 Automechanika Innovation Award in the Parts and Components category for its Universal Heated Oxygen Sensor. The award was presented at Automechanika Frankfurt 2004, held in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Automechanika is the leading international trade fair combining both the automobile aftermarket and the original equipment market.
The award winners were selected by a committee comprised of scientists, technical journalists and representatives of international technical associations, who judged the product entries for innovation, user benefit, quality and environmental compatibility.
Bosch’s Universal Heated Oxygen Sensors feature a unique sealing system and specially formulated heat-resistant connectors designed for easy installation and requiring no special tools. Bosch holds a U.S. patent for the design of connector used with the universal heated sensors.
Bosch offers Universal Heated Oxygen Sensors for almost every domestic and import vehicle driven in the U.S., today. It is available in 14 part numbers, which cover more than 345 million units in operation.
