AKRON, OH --
Servicio Automotriz, a new automotive repair magazine from Babcox Publications, is the first publication for Hispanic automotive aftermarket professionals in the United States. The mission of Servicio Automotriz, is to provide Hispanic readers with high-quality technical information in Spanish in order to help them advance in their automotive careers and stay current with the latest automotive technology.
The inaugural issue of Servicio Automotriz was mailed to a select list of 45,000 repair shops, tire dealers and parts stores in December and will be published quarterly in 2005 (March, June, September and December). In addition to providing the most up-to-date service and repair information in Spanish, there are English translations of each of the articles that can serve as learning tools to help the readers improve their automotive English skills.
According to United States Census data, 15.2 percent of people in the automotive field are Hispanic. “We are very excited to provide the growing number of Hispanic automotive service professionals with a magazine that will help them improve their automotive skills,” said Jeff Stankard, publisher.
