|

DES PLAINES, IL -- Littelfuse, Inc. has announced it is cutting staff positions in several plants worldwide as well as in its sales and administrative areas due to a recent slowdown in sales. The company did not provide a specific number of job cuts. Attempts to reach the company for more information were not returned as of press time.

According to Gordon Hunter, Littlefuse president and CEO, the reduction in staff and operating expenses will result in an annual cost savings of approximately $5 million for the company. Littlefuse will take a pre-tax charge of approximately $3.5 million in the first quarter of 2005 related to these reductions.
