FT. LAUDERDALE, FL -- Vector Manufacturing, Ltd. has signed a licensing deal with The Black & Decker Corp., granting Vector an exclusive trademark license for a number of portable power products.

“This partnership is yet another milestone in Vector’s rapid emergence as an industry leader,” said David Mayer, Vector’s COO “The combination of Black & Decker’s powerful world-wide brand recognition and Vector’s outstanding reputation in new product development will secure an even larger share of the portable power products market.”

Vector will launch a new premium line of Black & Decker branded products in 2005. The licensing agreement grants Vector exclusive rights to manufacture, market and sell battery chargers, jump-starters, power inverters, portable spotlights, flashlights and lanterns under the Black & Decker brand in the United States and Canada.

Based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Vector markets more than 150 products, including thermo-electric coolers, portable DC refrigerators, car care electronic appliances, and consumer electronic products available at leading retailers, wholesalers, distributors, automotive stores, marine retail stores, RV and sporting goods stores such as Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Sams Club, Lowe’s, Target, Pep Boys and ACE Hardware.

“With the Black & Decker brand and Vector’s already successful penetration in the automotive, marine and hardware national retailer markets, we will continue to expand the reach of our portable power product lines,” said Michael Krieger, Vector’s founder, president and CEO.
