VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, MI -- Visteon Corp.'s board of directors has decided to suspend the company's quarterly cash dividend on its common stock. The previous quarterly dividend was 6 cents per share paid in December 2004.

Visteon's board called the dividend suspension "the prudent course of action at this time" and said it will re-evaluate the company's dividend policy on an ongoing basis. Any future dividends will be based on an evaluation of all relevant factors, the company said.
