BROADVIEW, IL -- Bosch has launched a major national online consumer promotion centered around the 20th anniversary of the its platinum spark plug.

The Bosch Online Platinum 20th Anniversary Sweepstakes & Rebate offers motorists a 60 cents per plug rebate and a chance to win a $2000 Visa Gift Card when they purchase Bosch Platinum spark plugs.

The promotion will run through December 15. The 60-cent per plug mail-in rebate is good for purchases up to 24 Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs (or $14.40 per household rebate maximum.) In addition to the rebate, each submission of the rebate coupon automatically becomes an entry in a random drawing to win the $2000 Visa Gift Card.

"No purchase is necessary to enter the sweepstakes. Anyone can simply download the sweepstakes entry coupon by going to the Bosch Web site, at www.boschusa.com, and look for "Special Promotions" in the Auto Parts section,” said Pam Krebs, director of advertising and sales promotion for Robert Bosch Corp.

The sweepstakes promotion serves to remind all motorists of the value of using premium platinum spark plugs in their vehicles, she added. "Although overall sales of spark plugs have been declining due to changing automotive technology, the premium spark plug market has shown consistent double-digit growth," said Krebs.
