CERRITOS, CA -- IMPCO Technologies announced yesterday that Nickolai Gerde, the company's CFO and treasurer, had resigned to pursue other opportunities. His resignation was effective April 7.

IMPCO Technologies is a source of advanced alternative fuel systems technology and components for internal combustion engines.

Richard Fogarty, IMPCO's corporate controller, will assume the role of interim principal financial officer while the company searches for Gerde's permanent replacement.

Fogarty was appointed corporate controller of the company in November 2002. Prior to joining the company, he served for five years as corporate controller at STM Wireless and, prior to STM Wireless Inc., held positions as corporate controller, information systems director and financial planning director over a six-year period at MAI Systems Corp. Fogarty began his career with General Electric where he graduated from the GE Financial Management Program in 1975.
