PHILADELPHIA -- Recon Automotive Remanufacturers has launched a major initiative to expand its manufacturing and distribution operations in order to better serve its customers.

As part of its customer-focused initiative, Recon is expanding and relocating its distribution center in Southern California and moving its manufacturing facility from California to its QS 9000-certified facility in Mexico. The company's primary manufacturing center and warehouse based in Philadelphia will remain unchanged. Recon is also expanding its West Coast sales team to provide increased in-field sales training and product education.

According to Keith Ottinger, vice president of sales and marketing for Recon, this move will ensure Recon’s competitive position in the marketplace, while increasing the inventory will enable quick and easy fulfillment of customers’ orders.
