ROCKLAND, MA -- Venture Tape Corp., a global manufacturer of specialty tapes, has opened a new, interactive training center for installers of its automotive paint protection system, Venture Shield. Housed at the company’s Rockland, Mass., headquarters, the facility will provide professional aftermarket installers with intensive, hands-on training that follows recommended Venture Shield application techniques. At the completion of the three-day training program, attendees will receive certification authorizing them to apply Venture Shield to their customers’ cars and trucks.

During the program, participants learn how to cut model-specific patterns and practice the intricacies of applying Venture Shield to actual vehicle contours. The course is led by two design engineers with extensive expertise in installing the product. Although Venture Tape has historically offered product training to its customers, this is the first time the company has established a dedicated on-site training facility.

Venture Shield is a clear, UV-resistant polyurethane paint finish protection film that protects auto paint from damage by stones, debris, abrasion, insects and other environmental elements. Venture Shield is typically applied to vulnerable exterior areas such as hoods, door edges, bumpers, side mirrors, rocker panels and body contour projections.

In addition to obtaining certification for applying Venture Shield, participants in the training program will receive a Venture Shield installation video, point-of-purchase materials and a casual-wear shirt.

Venture Tape manufactures more than 1,000 standard and custom adhesive products for a number of industries, including aerospace, automotive, construction, glazing, HVAC, industrial, insulation, marine, medical, optical, shielding, splicing and stained glass.
