SOUTHFIELD, MI -- For the 12th consecutive year, industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation received Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America, Inc.'s (TMMNA) highest honor for superior quality and delivery of engine valves.

Eaton's U.S. Engine Valve facility in Westminster, SC, is one of three supplier plants to receive the Superior Award from TMMNA for both product quality and delivery.

"It's truly an honor to receive this award," said Stephen M. Buente, Eaton senior vice president and president, automotive group. "We appreciate Toyota for once again recognizing U.S. Engine Valve's accomplishments and commitment to provide the best quality and service possible."

Eaton supplied more than 12 million four-cylinder intake and exhaust valves to Toyota last year.

"As Toyota continues to grow in North America, our suppliers are challenged to meet Toyota's high standards on an even greater scale," said Osamu "Simon" Nagata, vice president of purchasing for TMMNA, located in Erlanger, KY. "Toyota's success here is directly linked to the success of our suppliers."
