NORTHVILLE, MI --
Hayes Lemmerz International announced today that Daniel Sandberg, president of the company's automotive brake and powertrain components business unit, will assume additional responsibility for the company's materials and logistics group, effective June 1.
Sandberg will replace Michael Edie, who is leaving Hayes Lemmerz to pursue other opportunities. Sandberg will continue to report directly to Curtis Clawson, president, CEO and chairman of the board. Sandberg joined the company in April 1994 as vice president - general counsel and secretary. In 1996, he was given the additional responsibility of vice president of international operations. In 1999, Sandberg was appointed president of the automotive brake components business unit, and in 2001, he was given the additional responsibility for the Powertrain Business Unit.
Edie joined Hayes Lemmerz in November 2001 as the company's first vice president of materials and logistics.
