CEDAR GROVE, NJ -- Ed Pavelick has been promoted to COO for King Engine Bearings, effective immediately. He was formerly vice president of sales, marketing and operations.

In his new capacity, Pavelick will direct all North American activities for the company in the areas of: sales, distribution, marketing, pricing, cataloging, strategic planning and human resources. He will report to the board of directors of King's parent company in Israel.

Pavelick has enjoyed increasing responsibilities since joining the company as director of sales and marketing in 1996.

In announcing Pavelick's promotion to COO, King President Joseph Saslavsky noted Pavelick's success in building sales and customer relations while increasing efficiency and containing costs. "Ed has a proven track record of building sales and improving customer satisfaction while holding down overhead costs," explains Saslavsky. "With improved order fill, enhanced customer service, and competitive pricing, Ed has demonstrated his ability to increase sales, customer satisfaction, and staff efficiency and morale all at the same time. That is the essence of a successful COO."
