AKRON, OHIO --
IRL fans will get a unique photo opp today, as General Colin Powell will pose for photos with 33 uniformed Indy Racing League (IRL) drivers in the traditional starting line-up for the 89th Indy 500.
The group will meet today in New York City's Times Square for photo and interview opportunities. Powell and the drivers will have their photo taken on Time Square's Military Island.
Powell is scheduled to drive the pace car for the Indianapolis 500, which takes place Sunday, May 29 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The race is the fifth event on the 2005 IRL IndyCar Series schedule.
