PORTAGE, WIS --
Penda Corp., the 22 -year-old organization known for drop-in bedliners, recently sold its 11 millionth bedliner. The milestone occurred with the sale of one of the company's popular new products, the Penda Skid Resistor.
Penda, which sold its first bedliner in 1983, is a diversified manufacturer of truck accessories sold under the Penda Truck Accessories brand. The company also offers custom thermoformed plastic products and water management solutions. Penda operates a state-of-the art research, manufacturing and headquarters facility in Portage, Wis., and an extensive fiberglass production facility in Daleville, Ala. Penda is recognized as one of the best capitalized and most aggressive competitors in each of its product segments.
"It's certainly appropriate that our 11 millionth bedliner sold was the Skid Resistor, which literally has changed the way consumers view truck-bed protection technologies," said Kristin Uttech, director of corporate marketing for Penda. "This impressive milestone demonstrates the growing popularity of the Penda Truck Accessories brand and each of our bed-protection products. Our growing sales footprint also helps us invest more each year in new technologies aimed at better serving today's truck owners."
In keeping with its commitment to trade customers, Penda marked the milestone by presenting a commemorative plaque to several truck accessories distributors during a recent ceremony.
"Our WDs are the backbone of our business and we share this achievement with them," said Uttech. "Our business partners have enabled us to continue to grow the truck accessories business and maintain our market leadership. They also help us remain several steps ahead of the competition in terms of product technologies and trade and consumer promotions."
