OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Reliable Automotive has appointed Jim Murphey vice president of sales and marketing. Murphey assumes responsibility for the professional development of the company's sales, marketing and purchasing divisions, promoting all aspects of Reliable Automotive and its programs, effective immediately.

Murphey brings with him more than 31 years of aftermarket industry experience. Prior to joining Reliable Automotive, Jim was president and owner of Maxum Automotive, an OEM and aftermarket manufacturer. Prior to Maxum, he was with Dana Corp. for more than 12 years. During his career with Dana, Murphey served as vice president/general manager of the heavy truck aftermarket division and vice president/general manager of the electronic cruise control division.
