FARMINGTON HILLS, MI -- Cadillac and Buick dealerships nationwide are showcasing the first arrivals of vehicles that feature HotShot, the hot washer fluid and windshield de-icing system. Manufactured by Microheat, Inc., HotShot will be featured on the Model Year 2006 Cadillac DTS and Buick Lucerne.

Introduced commercially in 2002, HotShot features a patented cycling technology that intelligently heats fluid to an exact temperature and sprays the fluid at a precise time interval to quickly and efficiently remove snow, ice, bugs and road grime from vehicles. The all-season, all-weather system can be activated at any time during vehicle operation.

"Drivers throughout the nation can now enjoy HotShot, which is useful in every season and driving condition," said Microheat President and CEO Gary Pilibosian. "The system automatically removes snow, ice, bugs and road grime from windshields in under 90 seconds with the push of a button. HotShot is the biggest breakthrough in washer/wiper technology in over 75 years."

"General Motors is the first OEM to bring HotShot to drivers as a standard feature and we expect the response from consumers will be overwhelming," Pilibosian continued. "Market research shows that within 10 years, HotShot will be a standard feature on all new vehicles in North America."
