University of Aftermarket to Present Industry Standards Program

MIDLAND, MI -- The University of the Aftermarket will be presenting the Industry Standards for Aftermarket e-Commerce Seminar on Sept. 27-28, 2005 at the Delphi Automotive Systems facility in Troy, MI.

The two-day program, developed in cooperation with the AAIA Technology Standards & Solutions Committee, will give participants a complete orientation and basic implementation skills for the industry standards for electronic catalog (ACES) and product information (PIES). Added content will explain and demonstrate the industry standard for Internet Parts Ordering (IPO) and the PARTnerShip Network communication software.

E-CAT Standards will be covered on day one featuring sessions on the components of the AAIA Catalog Enhanced Standard (ACES) and detailed explanation of AAIA vehicle and parts type database structures. PIES will be covered on day two which will feature a presentation of Product Information Exchange Standard (PIES) components & business practices and examples of PIES implementations and the related Data Audit and Certification (DAC) program.

Participants will earn CEU’s for AAP/MAAP designation by attending. The featured instructors are AAIA vice president, technology standards and solutions, Scott Luckett; Comergent Technologies' vice president of industry programs, Edward Heon; and Winsby Group President Doug Winsby.
