PORTAGE, WI -- Hundreds of North America’s most successful truck accessories retailers will be able to install thousands of premium Penda Skid Resistor bedliners, at a premium price, for consumers who might otherwise never visit their stores, thanks to another industry-first marketing program from Penda Corporation.

Penda’s new “Skid Resistor TV,” an aggressive direct-response program that will appear on premier cable networks throughout the fall, will take the Skid Resistor message to millions of light-truck enthusiasts, and allow viewers to purchase the industry’s best bedliner or receive a free $20 incentive coupon simply by picking up their telephone. All responses, including completed sales, will automatically be directed to the consumer’s nearest Penda Protection PRO program member. Skid Resistor TV will offer the Penda Skid Resistor - which features the industry’s leading skid resistance as well as superior bed protection, gloss and an exclusive static-dissipating material - at a special televised price of $279.

“Skid Resistor TV is the next step in the growth of the premium bed protection category established by Penda to enable retailers to earn more while providing their customers with the best product for their trucks,” said Kristin Uttech, director of marketing communications for Penda Corporation. “Millions of truck enthusiasts will now have the opportunity to experience the difference represented in the Skid Resistor, and to add this technology to their truck beds simply by picking up the telephone.”

Skid Resistor TV will appear on ESPN, ESPN2, Fox Sports Net, The Outdoor Network, The History Channel, TNN, TNT, USA, Spike TV and other leading cable networks throughout the fall selling season. Programming will include 60- and 120-second messages detailing the advantages of premium truck bed protection in the form of best-in-class skid resistance and impact and abrasion resistance. The program host also will provide important facts about the damaging installation process often used for spray-on bedliners and will discuss other under-reported drawbacks of spray-ons, including their comparatively low resistance to dents and abrasion and high incidence of fading.

“Consumers who hear the facts about the Skid Resistor compared with spray-ons invariably choose the Skid Resistor as the best way to protect their trucks,” Uttech said. “We’re taking this message directly to the truck owner to make sure they know the real story about spray-on installation and other issues that could impact the value of their vehicles.”

All Penda Protection PRO retailers are automatically enrolled in the Skid Resistor TV program. Penda is contacting members to verify store information and to provide all necessary program details in advance of the Skid Resistor TV launch.
