VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, MI -- Visteon Corp. has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the fifth consecutive year.
Companies listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index are selected globally based on their ability to integrate economic, environmental and social criteria into their strategies and operations to become more sustainable and create long-term shareholder value. Certain asset managers use the index as an objective benchmark for investment portfolios designed to support companies that follow the principles of sustainability.
Visteon was selected based on a variety of practices initiated within the company, including environmental policies and practices, ethics training and community involvement.

"The company has been recognized as a leader in the industry, and we are proud that our performance in these areas has met this year's even more stringent sustainability requirements."
Other companies selected to the automobiles and parts sector of the index include BMW AG, Germany; Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin, France; Daimler Chrysler AG NA, Germany; Denso Corp., Japan; Ford Motor Co., USA; Johnson Controls Inc., USA; and Toyota Motor Corp., Japan.
