Omega Environmental Technologies Awarded Exclusive Western Hemisphere Distributorship

DALLAS, TX -- Omega Environmental Technologies, an international distributor and manufacturer of A/C products for the mobile marketplace, has been awarded a western hemisphere exclusive distributorship by Dirna S.A., an air conditioning company based in Madrid, Spain. The agreement will allow Omega to provide the U.S. a product that has long been a favorite in Europe, the Dirna high-performance evaporative cab cooler.

"We have worked with Dirna as a distributor for many years and consider it an honor to offer this outstanding A/C technology to industrial vehicle owners and manufacturers throughout the Western hemisphere," said Grace Davis, Omega president.

The Dirna product is different from traditional engine-dependent, Freon-based cooling systems in that it requires no fuel or Freon to operate. Rather, it runs off a low battery charge, cooling the vehicle cab through natural evaporation. As water circulates through the unit filter, it absorbs heat and evaporates. A fan then circulates the fresh, cool air throughout the cab, lowering temperatures as much as 15 - 20ºF.

The system is easy to install, dramatically reduces maintenance and operating costs, operates while the engine is on or off and meets EPA requirements. Omega is offering both roof and rear installation models for new or retrofit applications serving long-distance trucks, delivery vehicles, heavy-duty equipment off-road and agricultural machinery.

"We are always seeking new ways to solve our customers' mobile A/C problems," said Davis. "The Dirna cab cooling system is a proven technology that will be a welcomed addition in this part of the world."

The products will be featured at the AAPEX show in Las Vegas, Nov. 1 - 4, in the Omega Booth #1781 and at the Express Train MACS 2006 Convention and Trade Show in the Omega Booth #1100, January 26-28, 2006, in Orlando, FL.
