LAS VEGAS -- Preliminary figures for the first three days of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW), Nov. 1 - 4, in Las Vegas, indicate a total attendance of 135,441. With one day still to be tallied, the total represents 66,141 domestic and international buyers, 47,195 exhibitor personnel and 22,105 non-buyers.
The Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) and the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) shows comprise AAIW. AAPEX had a record 2,063 exhibitors occupying 501,000 net square feet of space.
Final attendance figures are available on the AAPEX Web site, AAPEXShow.com. Dates for the 2006 AAIW are Oct. 31 - Nov. 3, in Las Vegas.
AAPEX 2005 began Tuesday, Nov. 1 and concluded Nov. 4 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, NV. Due to the record-setting number of exhibitors, AAPEX was expanded to include exhibits in the Venetian Ballroom.
