Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week to Address Top Issues Facing Distributors

ORLAND PARK, IL -- The first-ever Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week Jan. 23 through 27, 2006, at The Mirage in Las Vegas, will feature a distributor education program to address trends, new developments and best practices and provide strategies to achieve high-performance results and profits.

Top industry speakers will lead the education sessions and panel discussions. Sessions on Tuesday, Jan. 24, are:

  • The Aftermarket Economy: What Distributors Should Know
  • Recruiting, Retention and Employee Development;
  • Getting Results: Five Absolutes for High Performance;
  • The Impact of Counterfeit Parts
  • New Developments in the Heavy Duty Brake Business
On Wednesday, Jan. 25, sessions are:
  • The Truth about e-Business and Electronic Ordering;
  • Shop Management and Adding Service to Your Operation
The heavy-duty specific education concludes on Thursday, Jan. 26, with “What Do Fleets Want from a Distributor?”

In addition to this education, the inaugural HDAW executive conference has an opening general session, “Handshake – Past/Present/Future,” an aftermarket-focused trade show -- with 165 supplier exhibitors already on board, and One-on-One Business Meetings between distributor and supplier senior executives. HDAW will also provide new networking opportunities for the distributor and supplier executives in attendance.
