ELGIN, IL -- Katie Noga, marketing communications and motorsports manager for SKF, has been appointed president of the Car Care Council Women’s Board for the 2006 year. Noga, a 26-year veteran of the automotive aftermarket, is a founding member of the Women’s Board. She succeeds past president Jennifer Tio.

The Women's Board is comprised of professional men and women dedicated to educating women about car care and encouraging young people to investigate the automotive industry as a career choice. The goal of the Car Care Council Women's Board is two-fold: To encourage women to become active vehicle maintainers; and to promote career opportunities for women in the automotive parts and service industry.

“It’s rewarding to have Katie represent SKF as president of the Car Care Council Women’s Board,” said Bill Diggory, vice president and general manger of SKF-USA. “SKF understands the growing role women play in the automotive industry – from a consumer level to a corporate level. We encourage our employees to become involved with organizations like the Women’s Board, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with the Women’s Board in the future.”

Noga added: “I look forward to leading the Women’s Board in meeting its goals, as well as representing the values SKF contributes to the group. I’d like to thank Jennifer for her years of service as president of the Women’s Board, and I look forward to working with her throughout the coming year.”
