ANN ARBOR, MI -- Sales veteran Bob Gracey has joined Affinia as senior vice president of sales, Under Vehicle Group, effective December 1.

“We are delighted to have Bob on our team,” said John Washbish, Affinia’s president of customer eelationship management and vice president and general manager of its Under Vehicle Group. “He has wide-ranging knowledge in sales and training and will focus his efforts on strengthening our UVG brands in the global marketplace.”

Prior to joining Affinia, Gracey served as national sales manager for Timken’s automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket divisions. “Bob has proven himself as a leader over the years. In his most recent assignment, he nearly quadrupled Timken’s U.S. market share in just three years. Simply put, that’s impressive,” said Washbish. “We believe that Bob has the drive and leadership skills to develop and grow our brands to a new level.”

Gracey’s experience also includes work with Delta College Corporate Services in the reorganization of its training and development department, and service with Gage Marketing as its director of business development. The majority of his career was spent with Federal-Mogul in a variety of sales, training and management roles.

A member of AAIA, Gracey holds a B.S. from University of New Mexico and an M.A. from Adams State University, both degrees in education. He has also attended Ohio State University’s Executive Leadership program. In addition, Gracey holds designation of Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) from the University of the Aftermarket and has instructed University of the Aftermarket classes.
