HAMMOND, IN -- Vehicle Specialties Inc. (VSI) announced today the opening of its new business-to-business (B-to-B) portal at www.vsihp.com . The site provides real-time product pricing and ordering capability to aftermarket retailers and service dealers to help improve revenue, operational efficiencies and profitability. Users can search either by manufacturer or part number and find the price and availability of performance aftermarket parts within seconds, according to the company.

According to Ed Hmurovic, VSI's director of new technology, the new B-to-B portal allows retailers and service dealers to quickly and easily aggregate their orders and produce a professional quote that can be delivered immediately to their customer. "All the industry is talking about data utilization and we have a system that is based on open standards," said Hmurovic. "We all know that without good data it is difficult to operate in today's aftermarket. Our robust system provides data within seconds so our customers can make profitable business decisions."

Users of VSIHP.com will be able to compare their item costs with their desired retail sales price, along with up-to-the-minute "Real World Pricing," allowing them to dial in the desired profit margin for a single or multi-item quotation. The system provides for fast and efficient quote package creation, so more profitable items can be grouped with competitively priced items to achieve a desired profit margin on a retail sale, said VSI. Item prices can be set in advance or adjusted at the time of quotation or sale and the system prints professional quality paper and electronic quotes and documents branded to the user's business.

VSIHP.com was designed and developed by Chicago-based consulting firm Highland Solutions. Michael Lane, the company's director of business solutions, said, "The VSIHP.com B-to-B portal, combined with Highland's web-based delivery platforms, realizes the ability to integrate freely available aftermarket data with common-sense business-focused tools to help retailers and service dealers better serve their customers profitably."

The B-to-B portal and its services are currently provided to all VSI customers at no cost. The business account application process and the registration of user accounts for the portal can both be performed online.

VSIHP.com manages data that is both ACES and PIES compliant.
