Heavy Duty Dialogue Panel to Address Purchasing Trends

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC -- Tom Stundza, executive editor, Purchasing magazine, will moderate a panel of industry experts discussing “Purchasing Trends and Strategies for the 21st Century,” at HD Dialogue ’06 slated for Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at The Mirage, Las Vegas. Stundza will moderate the panel in a “Meet the Press” format.

Dialogue ‘06, presented by the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), will be held the day before the opening of the first-ever Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week, Jan. 24-Jan. 27 at the Mirage.

Purchasing panel speakers include:

• Denise Clarkson, director of purchasing, TRW

• Hugh Charvat, vice president, supply chain management, FleetPride

• Dave Nelson, vice president, global supply chain management, Delphi Corp.

• Mark Purtilar, vice president, procurement, ArvinMeritor

J.S. (Jim) McReynolds, general manager, on-highway engines, Caterpillar Power Systems North America, heads an outstanding speaker line-up at Dialogue ‘06 with his presentation on the challenges faced in the highly cyclical HD commercial vehicle business.

The HD Dialogue program, including breakfast, lunch and a reception, runs from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. The program conference will also feature presentations by industry and government leaders such as:

HD Dialogue 2006 “early bird” registration fees are $495 for HDMA member companies’ first registrant and $445 for each additional representative. “Early bird” registration for individuals whose firms or organizations are not HDMA members is $595 for the first registrant and $545 for each additional representative. All fees increase $75 after Friday, Dec. 15. Attendees who are participating in HDAW can receive an addition $100 discount off HD Dialogue registration.
